Created attachment 38674 [details] Drive 1.1.0-alpha ebuild
I am one of the developers od D.R.I.V.E. The software is _very_ unstable. However it may be useful for VRML development or robotics research.
release bump: drive-1.1.1-alpha.
Created attachment 38704 [details] ebuild modified for the latest version I have not tested yet D.R.I.V.E. with >=gcc-3.3.4-r1. I suggest a "-* ~x86" keyword.
Matteo (or anyone else with the right's to do it), please remove the REQUEST keyword, since there is an ebuild in this bug, thanks.
version bump: released drive-1.1.3-alpha. Compile under Mac OS X. Porting for mips4 / r10k on Irix 6.5 in progress.
Created attachment 51805 [details] overlay for drive, updated to 1.1.3_alpha Moved from app-sci to sci-misc in my local overlay. Version bump.
From <http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=3> Tarball'ing an ebuild Please please please do not attach ebuilds as tarballs. Attach patches seperately as well so we can easily examine them.
Created attachment 51807 [details] plain ebuild, updated with the header from the handbook. It wasn't an ebuild, it was an overlay. However, I'll attach the plain ebuild.
Created attachment 52152 [details] version bump Fixes some bugs.
Please assign to maintaner-wanted. To reporter, I apologize for the long delay. You may want to look into submitting your ebuild to http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise/
Created attachment 198829 [details] ebuild bump, see comment for details Note that I removed the explicit dependency on gcc, we can assume that gcc exists on a gentoo system so long as we are not requiring a specific version of it. Additionally I added the amd64 flag as it compiles/"runs" here. Note that the app is missing a default/example config file so running "drive" causes it request you place it from documentation. Additionally note that drive now lists: "libvrmltree-1.2.0-beta.tar.bz2" as their latest release. See <http://sourceforge.net/projects/drive/files/> so the updated ebuild may not match the real release and I can't tell immediately which one is the correct release.
with apologies this bug is being closed as last update from upstream was a year ago to sourceforge, and the main site mentions 2003 as last year of development.
