Description Christoph Brill (egore) (RESIGNED) 2004-09-01 05:23:50 UTC
A slightly new version of the synaptics driver has been released. If anyone has the time to bump it (renaming ebuild works), I'd be happy about it.
This should fix the amd64 issue as well, but since I don't have one, i cannot test that.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Comment 1 Bryan Stine (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-02 11:35:47 UTC
Bumped. I'd like to get an amd64 person with such a touchpad to see if it works, though. The old makefile patch was not pushed up in this bump.
Comment 2 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-09 15:19:02 UTC
I'll dig up a user with a synaptics touchpad. None of our devs has one :-/
Comment 3 Christoph Brill (egore) (RESIGNED) 2004-12-10 13:16:53 UTC
0.13.6 is in portage
Comment 4 gad.kadosh 2005-01-09 01:48:50 UTC
0.14 is out
Comment 5 Christoph Brill (egore) (RESIGNED) 2005-01-09 03:31:45 UTC
Bumping the ebuild works for me
Comment 6 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-05 17:56:11 UTC
reassigning to x11
Comment 7 Andreas Korinek 2005-02-10 04:36:28 UTC
0.14 doesn't work on my amd64 machine. I am using xorg 6.8.1.902. The logs just states that the synaptics driver is loaded, then a signal 11 is received an xorg terminates
Comment 8 Homer Parker (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-10 21:22:51 UTC
Doesn't work here either:
>>> emerge (3 of 4) x11-misc/synaptics-0.14.0 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) synaptics-0.14.0.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking synaptics-0.14.0.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/synaptics-0.14.0/work
>>> Source unpacked.

Comment 9 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-11 00:47:17 UTC
doesn't work
Comment 10 Bryan Stine (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-11 09:00:21 UTC
Huh?
Comment 11 Nicolas Sergent 2005-02-17 09:28:06 UTC
Does not work for me either. AMD64, Xorg 6.8.0-r4
The logs just states that the synaptics driver is loaded, then a signal 11 is received an xorg terminates (just like Andreas Korinek)
