Sorry for the delay in getting to spamassin. Will take a look at this this
afternoon, post *something* in here today.

Installed without issue on my perl 5.8 box. Attempting on perl 5.6.1 now. It's a
slow box, so it could be morning before I can get back to you.

OK, time to ask the questions I didn't ask before. I just installed this without
problem on my perl 5.6.1 box. Which version of perl are you using? Which
release? Gcc version? Platform? Any and all relevant information welcome! Thanks,

Mike

I actually found that it will install if I do "emerge Mail-SpamAssassin -e".
I'm running perl 5.6.1. Let me see if I get the same error on any of the other
boxes I administer....

No. I'm not. That's weird; it happened on both my laptop and my desktop and
another machine I tried. But now it has stopped happening.

It's possible there was something screwy in one of the dependencies which was
subsequently fixed.

Are we good for closing this then? Just wanted to be sure :)
Comment 6 Heidi 2002-09-10 17:36:53 UTC
Yeah.... it works now. Must have been a dependency problem that got resolved.
Thank you!
