Description Jari Rahkonen 2004-09-01 00:45:57 UTC
Abiword crashes instantly returning 'aborted' if I modify the zoom setting while some text is painted or an image is selected.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run abiword 2.0.11
2. write anything and select any number of characters with your mouse (hold down left button and drag over the text) or insert an image and click it so that you can see the resize boxes around the image
3. change zoom setting either with the dropdown box in the default toolbar or from the menu (view-->zoom-->zoom to...)
Actual Results:
Abiword crashed.

Expected Results:
The zoom setting should have changed, preserving the selection.

another one for you to look at mark ;) Sorry I can't test this myself atm.
Comment 2 Yi Quang (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-08 23:49:26 UTC
I can reproduce the behavior here, will try to get a backtrace later.
Comment 3 Joe McCann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-09 00:47:41 UTC
Can't reproduce with latest testing version(2.1.6), might want to resolve as upstream fixed.
Comment 4 Mark Gilbert 2004-09-10 13:11:29 UTC
We're having trouble reproducing it on 2.0.11 as well though.
Comment 5 Yuri Vasilevski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-16 19:37:20 UTC
Can confirm this bug. Had it on my computer.
And reemerging with safer flags neither abiword nor gtk+
helped. But when i reemerged binutils + glibc to match my
updated gcc (form 3.3.3 to 3.4.1) and then reemerged ark,
gtk+ and abiword it worked.

Yuri.

Didn't soled the bug, it was just a lucky run, sorry.
