First I was getting an error when accessing pages that attempted to parse the default /error/ files due to IncludesNoExec being enabled for the /error/ directory. I changed the directory Options to +Includes which eliminated this error. However, this revealed a parse error in the /var/www/localhost/error/includes/top.html file. It appeared to be a xml generating shtml file. I resolved the error by renaming the file *.shtml and doing a sed e 's/top.html/top.shtml/g' for all files in the /error/ directory. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable +Indexes. Create an AuthType (Basic | Digest ) 2. Access Page, but either intentionaly fail or hit cancel Actual Results: Parse error Expected Results: Displayed appropriate access error
Apache folks perhaps?
Please provide your version of apache. I don't see a /var/www/localhost/error/includes/top.html in any version of apache I have running.
Need more information as noted in previous comment.
