kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.3.0 fails to merge with anything except MAKEOPTS="-j1". Over the past few days I have tried repeatedly to merge it with -j3 (two cpus here), but it always fails. Someone in #gentoo mentioned that they got it going with -j1 so I tried it, and the first time it did indeed work. Perhaps there are some filters needed? Again this is just on my system and supposedly somebody elses too. What's the error? Perhaps we can get it fixed.
I too can not get kdemultimedia-3.3.0 to install, only changing the MAKEOPTS to -j1 did _NOT_ work for me. I'm doubtful that will work.
Before this gcc 3.3.3 was installed. When I did the `emerge -uD kde` a newer version(3.4.2) of gcc was somewhere in the middle... Everything was going well until the kdemultimedia. All of the 3.3.3 libs are still on the machine. How do I go about installing using the right libraries?
Using gcc-config I've switched to the older 3.3.3m I'll update once it completes - failure|success..
Reverting to gcc 3.3.3 and using -j1 worked for me.
