Just emerged handhelds cursor theme in gnome-shell - - and unbelievably - - if I try to drag windows in overview mode, example, drag window to another workspace, gnome-shell simply CRASH. Maybe due to some missing files, incompatible image format, I really dunno, just know that this is a MAJOR issue in the sense that an incorrect asset like the cursor theme should not be able to crash the whole thing, sometimes, even Xorg dies. Maybe we should report Gnome devs.

Please, let's understand what's wrong so we can fix the problem on gnome-shell too. As I said, unvalid bitmaps should not killdashnine the window manager, and omfg, not the X server too.

:(

Thank you for the report.

Please write the name of the package in the title as described in [0].

Please attach the logfiles [0b]

The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis.
We can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems.

I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3].
I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4].
Please reopen the ticket in order to provide precise details (we help you on the support channel to find more details).
