Here is an ebuild for miscfiles-international. An international set of miscfiles curtesy of me. Provides a new virtual called virtual/miscfiles as it contains all word lists that exists in sys-app/miscfiles so all packages that depends on the GNU version should be able to use this instead.

Sorry, we can't include this in portage with the header the way it is. We need a standard copyright header on there. Please reopen with a fixed ebuild if you're ok with assigning copyright to Gentoo Foundation. You may also want to fix KEYWORDS as per policy and kill the src_unpack.

I just modified the miscfiles ebuild and never concidered changing the keywords to unstable since it's just a bunch of text files. Never the less, fixed now. (copyright transfered, src_unpack removed and masked as unstable on all archs)

another request :) this should be a patch against the current miscfiles and be sent upstream to the GNU people rather than doing this in Gentoo
Maybe the official sys-apps/miscfiles ebuilds should provide virtual/miscfiles, too?

Whats wrong with providing an alternative miscfiles package? There has been some split opinions about it in the past so I thought that providing an alternative might be a good idea since both camps can get what they want then. Gentoo is about choice afterall.
