i am using nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx 5336. every time when i emerge something, it switches the x-modul to version 4496 altought, i have unmerged nvidia 4496. so i have to type opengl-update nvidia after every emerge. even after emerge -C i have to switch back my settings.

Are you still having this problem?  Does it happen with everything you emerge?  Can you update to opengl-update-2.1.1 and do this before and after an emerge:

ls -l /usr/include/GL
ls -l /usr/lib/libGL*

closing... no response.  Should work with latest stable opengl-update
