Description Urs Joss 2004-08-30 10:17:22 UTC
dev-tex/eurosym used to download whichever snapshot available on the archives on www.dante.de. Even though the ebuild's version number is still 1.2, the package currently (08/2004) downloads 1.4.

In accordance with similar packages on dante (e.g. koma-script, see Bug #58167), a snapshot should be drawn by the package maintainer and named ${PN}, e.g. eurosym-1.4.ebuild. The ebuild would then draw the sources from the gentoo mirrors, thus providing a static version.

Note: People who have installed eurosym-1.2 recently will not get a newer version, they would have installed v1.4 by using eursym-1.2.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Before this ebuild - and the sources - will find their way onto the mirrors, you may download the sources
manually from ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/fonts/eurosym.tar.gz. Put it into /usr/portage/distfiles/ as
eurosym-1.4.tar.gz.
