The package looks horrible. It uses awful cmake code that pretty much hardcodes allowed gcc versions (bug #617870), and relies on version numbers to detect features. I don't even want to think how horribly it explodes with other compilers. It's dead upstream since 2013, and has no maintainer in Gentoo. Revdeps: - app-office/libreoffice - app-office/libreoffice-bin - app-text/bibletime - net-mail/dovecot[lucene] @office, @theology, can you look whether your packages can be built without it? If not, I'm going to ask you to take over maintenance of this package and put some effort in keeping it working.
I took a look and I couldn't see how to avoid this dep on libreoffice and bibletime :/
Dovecot full text search requires either CLucene or Solr (bug 253007).
I have reviewed this again and I don't see that we will be able to drop the dep in the near future, hence, we won't be able to treeclean this :|
We cannot proceed at this stage as it seems the reverse deps are going to continue to use it
Not gonna happen.
