Description postmodern 2004-08-30 01:06:38 UTC
When adding a contact in gnome-jabber one can add via "Jabber ID" or by other "protocol ID's" such as AOl, Yahoo or MSN. When in the add contact window after clicking "register new" button gnome-jabber segfaults.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select from menu, Actions -> Add Contact
2. Select radio button "by protocol"
3. Click "register new" button

Actual Results:
segfault

Expected Results:
allow the user to register other protocols.

Bug sent upstream.
Comment 4 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-07 05:46:26 UTC
Since upstream is dead.. this bug wont get resolved.. I'll end up masking this
package at some point.

From what I can tell, the developers of gnome-jabber have gone over to Gossip.

So keep your eye on http://cia.navi.cx/stats/project/gnome/gossip/.rss for
further developments.
