Description Chris Landegent 2004-08-28 14:57:18 UTC
Installed net-www/mozilla-firefox : it worked great
Installed net-www/netscape-flash : worked great with firefox
Instaled app-office/openoffice : openoffice works, firefox works, but any time a page with Flash/Shockwave is loaded the browser crashes immediately with the following error:

INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not get the JVM manager
System error?:: Success

Looks like the openoffice install changed the installed java which is now causing the error.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge net-www/mozilla-firefox
2. emerge net-www/netscape-flash
3. emerge app-office/openoffice

Actual Results:
Web pages with Flash/Shockwave crash firefox browser immediately

Expected Results:
Flash/Shockwave pages should load as normal, prior to openoffice install.

I forgot to note:
I tried uninstalling java and reinstalling, I even tried a different java. The problem still occurs. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling both mozilla-firefox and the flash plugin.

Looked around some more, I found that by removing my .mozilla dir in my home dir and then re-opening firefox took care of the problem.
