Created attachment 473190 [details, diff] build qt submodule against qt5 Released on 25.12.2016...but you need to dig into the site to learn about it. The advertised changes seem fairly small, one regarding libgd was already covered by general Gentoo policy. One I consider important is one made shortly after 2.38.0 release, which turned a giant blob of a convenience archive, used by a few of the package executables into a shared lib. Also, back in 2.38.0, attached patch made qt submodule buildable against qt5.
