Description unlord 2004-08-26 15:16:34 UTC
When unmerging tomcat, the file /etc/init.d/tomcat5 should be deleted, but is not.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-27 00:22:24 UTC
no, actually, it shouldn't. Gentoo policy is to not touch things in /etc.
Comment 2 Thomas Matthijs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-27 01:21:43 UTC
portage doesn't remove files in dirs that are in CONFIG_PROTECT
you can add /etc/init.d/ to CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK to have it remove them anyway
please read the gentoo handbook for more information
