Description Spider (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-26 07:02:01 UTC
Just managed to debug this.
TMP is a dir inside the ${D} , exported by portage.

This means that the temp dir inside the "clamassassin" ebuild is a path inside /var/tmp/portage/clamassassin-${VER}/temp , Which doesn't always exist as writable by anyone, and therefore causes dataloss.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

marked as critical due to 67 mails lost.
