Right :/ And upstream told me they will keep doing this because this will allow them to check their fixes before officially announce them in next beta which reduce beta testing time and improve beta testing quality ... However, this workflow doesn't work for us so I dropped beta releases from repository (https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=0cc45833d2c4d64af5dd1c93af9c04006b18a834). Feel free to copy existing ebuild to 5.5.0_betaX in your local overlay. This should work.
