The bug summary indicates that you think this is an eix-sync bug, but you have assigned it to the portage developer group. Which package did you intend to report the bug against? Anyway, you want the postsync script to ignore errors, then make it "exit 0" at the end of the script.
I've assigned to portage because the bugzilla wizard suggested so: "Portage Development: Bugs regarding sys-apps/portage, sys-apps/sandbox and app-portage/*. Bugs related to other ebuilds belong in 'Gentoo Linux'." Feel free to assigned to eix team if anything to fix here The exit code should do it for now.
The emerge --sync exit code is more meaningful since changes for bug 567478.
