During the emerge of visit 2.9.0 the Xdmf plugin is not build into visit.
-- Checking Xdmf plugin dependencies: XDMF 
-- NOT FOUND: XDMF 
-- Disabling Xdmf

Version 2.10.3 updated to use XDMF, please verify if it's correct.
I've added useflag: xdmf2, please select it and emerge latest visit
