Hello. 1.9.0 was released about a month ago. Please bump.
Pending 1.9.1[1] [1] https://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnupg-devel/2017-April/032838.html
I'm seeing test failures with the latest version of the dev-ruby/gpgme bindings and I'd like to confirm if these are also present with the 1.9.x release.

Hi, I added a live ebuild for you. They broke python tests again... so please disable python or tests. Alon
Hey, I need gpgme-1.9.0 for the bump of mail-client/alot-0.6 #636804, so before replying here, I try'ed to bump it on my own and it works for my use case. Since I can see this bump is stuck, what do you think I can do to help ? Maybe we can make a 1.9.0-r1 version with some custom patches to fix up the problem described below. Guillaume
Hi, We need all build patches out of master, there are too many of them. I do not understand why upstream does not release 1.10. There is a 9999 in tree, if I give up I might add master snapshot. Regards,
Hey, Thanks Alon Bar-Lev for the quick reply, if we have a 9999 in the tree why not adding the 1.9.0 but masked that way people that need can have it. I understand the breakage of test of ruby but it is probably better to have it without test, than not having it at all right ? (yes having test would be better I agree).
I added gpgme-1.10 beta, please checkout
Thank's you Alon that would be great ! At this time I did not see it in the tree, but maybe it will append later. I will test it ASAP and report my results here.
(In reply to Guillaume Seren from comment #8) > At this time I did not see it in the tree, but maybe it will append later. hmmm... my push failed. now it is in tree sorry.
Oh I can see it now, I will test it thank you Alon !

I'm seeing the same failures for dev-ruby/gpgme with gpg-me-1.10 beta, so back to the drawing board for dev-ruby/gpgme.
I have tested with the gpgme-1.10.0_beta81, and it is working fine (so far) for the alot usage (PR here [1]). I think the minimal working version was 1.9.0, so thank you again Alon for pushing it to the tree. [1]: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/6153 Guillaume.
