from the HP: http://sourceforge.net/projects/smm/ SMM++ Mud Client is a mud client with extended and unique features. SMM++ features a highly customizable user interface (labels, buttons, and menus), unique and powerful mapping capabilities. Powerful scripting, even classes! it was recommended here in the forums: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=1097&highlight=smm+mud looking around in the mud-category, gnome-mud seems to be the only client with mappingfunction. this one is recommended in several places and seems to be an alternative (eg i would need the install about 45 packages on my gnome-free system to get gnome-mud running) if i could, i'd summit a working ebuild, but after several trys (about 8) on different projects, i still seem to not understand portage and it's ebuilds enough
okay, my report so far you need itcl cause we don't have a itkwish in gentoo - it's just calld wish - you need to rename itkarray-variable in itk.sh to "wish" now you are able to compile version: 6.1.1 but i ran emmediatly in a reported bug (command smmuser) http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=921448&forum_id=101617 according to the reply, i tried to get the cvs running - no go so let's try an older, or better said the only older, version running version: 6.0.1 no problems so far
