Description Dirk Heinrichs 2004-08-25 05:42:23 UTC
I'd wish I had dm-crypt supprt on the LiveCD, so that I would be able to setup crypted partitions on a Laptop during install.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

This isn't supported by baselayout yet. Adding support for cryptsetup on the livecds simply needs turning on the device mapper crypt target in the kernel and enabling the various crypt algorithms, then adding the cryptsetup package to the livecd-stage2. Feel free to ask me if you need any help with getting this to work.

Comment 3 Dirk Heinrichs 2004-09-06 23:57:15 UTC
Don't forget to add cryptsetup.
Comment 4 rob holland (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-07 01:34:00 UTC
well it is mentioned in the bug...so why would they?
Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-16 13:08:37 UTC
Rob: can you get cryptsetup marked stable on (at least) x86 in the near future? You might also want to have other arches test it, too...
Comment 6 rob holland (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-20 01:14:17 UTC
Its stable on x86.
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-15 23:45:49 UTC
This bad boy is on my .spec files, so it should be good to go.

Does it work with 2.6.8?
Comment 8 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-21 22:05:01 UTC
No... but it works for 2.6.9...

This has been added, so we're all good to go on it for 2004.3's release.
