Description Vladimir 2017-04-20 17:09:31 UTC
After upgrade to sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-4.10.10 I observe two problems (which may in fact be the same problem -- I am not sure):

1. Just after start the 'top' shows the 'load average' about 25 or so. This seems too much. I have never seen this before.

2. I cannot start many applications with GUI. It seems the Qt5 applications are the case. And after trying to start one of them I can see the stack trace in the first text console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) saying something like this:

...
task: ffff88068ef89c0 task.stack:ffffc900044c0000
RIP: 0010: nvkm_ramht_search+0x5a/0x80
RSP: 0018: ffffc900044c3a30 EFLAGS: 00010286
...

For a screenshot please see the attachments.

This does not happen with the gentoo-sources-4.10.9 kernel.

Is this still an issue with later kernels?

No, it is not any more. At least, for me.
