jEdit 5.4.0 has been released (and was released on 18 March 2017, so this is not a 0th day update request), but only an ebuild for app-editors/jedit-5.2.0-r1 is in the Portage Tree at the moment, I am writing this to request a version bump.

Please note that jEdit 5.4.0 depends on Java 1.8 now.

jedit-5.4.0-build-xml.patch

Subject: [PATCH] Do not have target "build" call target "test"

With "test" target build error appears due to "package org.junit does not exist", so patch skips target "test" as it was make for jedit-5.2.0 early.

Note that pathces for jedit-5.2.0 and 5.4.0 differs from each other.

5.4.0 is now in the tree.
