Bug 61504 – rsync16.de.gentoo.org slow

The new Harddisks are running (as descibed in Bug 61481) but they are slow! really slow. A rsync needs about 25 minutes so i would suggest to take the server out off rotation. 
Don't knwo how long i need (hopefully tomorrow) to speed the disks but i will report here.

hey Jeffrey, 
is it possible to allow a second server (beside 193.16.118.119) temporarily access to rsync1.us.gentoo.org? IP is 193.16.118.209. My Harddisks are fast, it seems that there is a network problem. I order to track it down i could need a second server.
It is only for a week or so.

Martin,

Before I start changing IP's, did you figure out the issue with the old machine? Or can I close this bug as the problem has been fixed?

Hi Jeffrey,

the old server is dead. It was not a network issue. the secound server works great beside it cant sync with rsync1. 
i would like to introduce the new rsync16.de. Is it worth a new bug or can we handle it within this bug.
New Server is surak.cc.fh-lippe.de, IP 193.16.112.82, SunServerblade b100x, 34MBit/s Network. 
I am syncing against rsync1.us since now, but getting a error, certainly.
 @ERROR: access denied to gentoo-portage from surak.cc.fh-lippe.de (193.16.112.82)
