Description Hardave Riar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-23 22:21:48 UTC
The mplayer configure script does not properly detect mips64 systems.

It fails with:

Detected operating system: Linux
Detected host architecture: UNKNOWN
Checking for gcc version ... 3.4.0, ok
The architecture of your CPU (UNKNOWN) is not supported by this configure script
It seems nobody has ported MPlayer to your OS or CPU type yet.

Error: unsupported architecture UNKNOWN

The attached patch solves the issue.

In cvs.

It appears this patch disappeared to the same place that our keywords did. Add
it back to the latest ebuild, and if possible send upstream.

Cleaning out old bugs, reopen if still a bug in newer versions

thanks
