@ERROR: Unknown module 'gentoo'
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (984 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(343)

Every synchronization since 18.08.2004 or even before ends with this error. Why?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.cron runs rcync script after every 4h starting at 00:00
2.synchronization fails




Expected Results:  
Should complete synchronization without errors.

Are you subscribed to the gentoo-mirrors mailing list?  There was a notice posted there several weeks ago about a change from 'ftp.oregonstate.edu' to 'ftp.osuosl.org'

I am sure I was subscribed to that list and wandered why it's so quiet for a long time. I guess, somehow im not anymore and have to resubscribe.

I changed ftp.oregonstate.edu to ftp.osuosl.org but i still get the same error.

If you are a distfiles mirror, you should be syncing to masterdistfiles.gentoo.org.
