Created attachment 467980 [details, diff] diff_log Hello developers, please update this patch in gentoo-sources experimental 5010_enable-additional-cpu-optimizations-for-gcc.patch Git home - https://github.com/graysky2/kernel_gcc_patch
I PM'ed mpagano a few weeks ago and asked him to please update the gcc opts 5010 patch with the new graysky2 version, but for whatever reason it hasn't been done yet. The graysky2 new version will apply OK to the 4.11-rc's, and also to 4.10.x gentoo-sources if the "experimental" USE flag is NOT enabled. Or, you can add the Zen lines in the files yourself to a gentoo "experimental" source directory after you install it, but before you actually compile the new kernel. I mentioned this on the Ryzen forum thread on IIRC page 6 or 7, however I'm not positive that using "native" opts with "experimental will pick up zen without having the actual zen lines in the patched source files being also there. On the other hand, if you're on an AM4 system, perhaps gcc and gentoo-sources 5010 experimental additional opts patch "native" will detect and use the zen opts anyway, without the actual "zen" gcc option being listed in make xconfig or make menuconfig. wrc1944
Also longterm gentoo-sources-4.9.X should be updated.
Thanks very much, Mike. Much appreciated!
