Description Sora Lee 2017-03-20 08:52:06 UTC
When attempting to boot with either 'gentoo' or 'gentoo-nofb' from the minimal iso, a system restart is immediatley triggered. I am using the same hardware from my previous Skylake build except the CPU and motherboard, so I believe there may be a compatability issue with either the CPU itself, or the new AMD chipsets (x370 in my case).

The livedvd also does not boot properly, however in this case OpenRC hangs on the 'searching for raid devices' step, so this may just be a hardware or bios misconfiguration on my part.

I created a livedvd that boots my Ryzen system just fine but I actually trimmed the kernel on it. I am using an X370 board myself

What kernel version was that on? I suspect when our autobuilds get back on track, the current stable 4.12.12 will fare much better.
