This (or very similar) issue[1] was fixed quite long ago [2].  Do you use vanilla rc.lua?  Does `Mod4 + Shift + q` work fine?

Hi!

Excellent pointer on rc.lua: It turend out I had an older version of a previous installation around.  Resetting that to vanilla made the quit item work again.  Thank you!
