Description Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-21 22:39:56 UTC
If I set a dependency like >=virtual/linux-sources-2.6 repoman tells me that this dependency is bad. If I set >=virtual/linux-sources-2.4 everything is fine.

The problem is that I need to stick an ebuild to a kernel >=2.6.8.

I'm not sure if this problem belongs to repoman or the kernel-2.eclass.

Virtuals shouldn't be versioned as that behavior isn't well defined.

Might be possible later. It's undefined presently.
Comment 3 Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-11 13:34:03 UTC
Closing due to old age (covered by new-style virtuals)
