While emerge works well, after restart logging in is a problem because both there is no mention during installation of the installation documentation (which is essential), nor are all changes documented.

In the installation documentation (in /usr/share/doc/README.???) in the section 'How to install' point 5-8 should be followed.
Then there are several undocumented changes to be made to /etc/pam.d/ .

Preferebly all these changes should be merged in the normal build system, but as a temporary fix, the documentation should be mentioned and be more complete.
The completeness should be a task for upstream though.

If prefered, in some time I will make a patch, but I have to study the package system in more detail first, so this will take some time.
