The entry for the University of Applied Sciences, Esslingen in Germany has a typo in it that causes mirrorselect to produce a non-fatal error. The link should point to ftp://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/, but instead has an extra slash after the protocol. Mirrorselect doesn't like this. However, the result of this is that mirrorselect simply ignores this address and continues on its merry way. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Run mirrorselect as root Actual Results: When mirrorselect attempts to check the IP address for ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de, host returns its standard help screen, without producing an error. Expected Results: With correct punctuation in mirrors.xml, this problem does not exist. None
By the by, this also causes an error later in mirrorselect. Since the program saves the IP address for ftp:///ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ as a blank, netselect produces the following message later on: netselect: unknown host With the typo fixed, this should go away, also.

I noticed the extra / and removed it a few days ago. Thanks anyway.
