I am trying to go online with my ZTE MF190 UMTS USB stick. I don't think this will be solved ever as this is dead since 2009
This is a bug in wvstreams library. A fix by Charlie Wolf from the Arch Linux ticket 48390 fixes the issue in Gentoo as well. I'll attach the patch and ebuild diff.
