kde-base/kdewebdev seems to provide the same thing as app-editors/quanta. Shouldn't kdewebdev block quanta then? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
yeah, probably should - though some people many want quanta_be which is currently provided for by quanta. Probably need to make a new package.
It is quanta instead of quanta_be, but the related files/programs (klinkstatus, kimagemapeditor, etc) are named the same.
to further complicate things, the latest stable version of quanta as seen by kde-base/kdewebdev is 3.3.0, but emerge app-editors/quanta brings up 3.2.3...
Hmmm, I am confused a bit by the problem. Then if I have installed kdewebdev package from KDE 3.3.2 should I install quata too ? It seems it already contains the same package but looking at emerge -s quanta I see it's not installed :/
kdewebdev provides quanta, no need to install it separately
app-editors/quanta is gone
