Description scootergrisen 2017-02-14 23:44:09 UTC
Instead of file names like:
livedvd-amd64-multilib-20160704.iso

I suggest something like:
gentoo-livedvd-amd64-multilib-20160704.iso

That way if you do like me download a lot of iso files from different distributions to test them you can tell by the file name what it is.

If you have like 10 different iso files and one i called livedvd-amd64-multilib-20160704.iso it hard to remember where you downloaded it from (which distribution it is).

It's the users' responsibility to remember where they've saved their files and their filenames.

Still, CCing the Release Engineering team to see if they want to change their naming conventions. We can't change the documentation unless they are willing to rename all the installation media.
