Description Francesco Turco 2017-02-12 21:37:20 UTC
The contributors list on planet.gentoo.org needs to be purged somewhat in my opinion.

The following blogs don't link anywhere else:
- Alec Warner
- Amadeusz Żołnowski
- Lance Albertson
- Liam McLoughlin

Some blogs cannot be loaded:
- Markos Chandras (http://hwoarang.silverarrow.org/)
- Matthew Marlowe (http://www.professionalsysadmin.com/matt/)
- Steev Klimaszewski (http://www.steev.net/)

The following blog has been removed:
- Vikraman Choudhury (https://vh4x0r.wordpress.com/)

There are other blogs which are totally empty:
- Alex Legler (https://a3li.li/)
- Göktürk Yüksek (https://blogs.gentoo.org/gokturk/)
- Jeffrey Gardner (https://blogs.gentoo.org/je_fro/)
- Johannes Huber (https://blogs.gentoo.org/johu/)
- Pacho Ramos (https://blogs.gentoo.org/pacho/)
- Thomas Kahle (http://pi-ist-genau-3.de/)
- Tom Wijsman (https://blogs.gentoo.org/tomwij/)

The following blogs have no Gentoo-related content:
- Ioannis Aslanidis (http://deathwing00.org/)

We may try contacting blog authors before removing links from the planet.

Reproducible: Always

Nice spotting!

We're actually in the middle of trying to clean this up.

I believe these links are generated automatically based on the person's feed URL. I'm not sure why it has failed in these cases - will need to look into further.

> - Alec Warner
is currently not fetchable - bug #607262

> - Amadeusz Żołnowski
is currently not fetchable - just filed bug #609234

> - Lance Albertson
is currently not fetchable - bug #607260

> - Liam McLoughlin
is not a dev and has no posts in a long time so maybe we should remove it

> Some blogs cannot be loaded:
> - Markos Chandras (http://hwoarang.silverarrow.org/)
bug #607270

> - Matthew Marlowe (http://www.professionalsysadmin.com/matt/)
bug #607274

> - Steev Klimaszewski (http://www.steev.net/)
just filed bug #609236

> The following blog has been removed:
> - Vikraman Choudhury (https://vh4x0r.wordpress.com/)
just filed bug #609238

> There are other blogs which are totally empty:
> - Alex Legler (https://a3li.li/)
just filed bug #609240 as it's unfetchable

Otherwise, we don't usually remove people just because they're empty - everyone explicitly requested to be added and may post in the future, however:

> - Göktürk Yüksek (https://blogs.gentoo.org/gokturk/)
only recently requested a blog in bug #600872 and probably just didn't post yet

> - Jeffrey Gardner (https://blogs.gentoo.org/je_fro/)

> - Johannes Huber (https://blogs.gentoo.org/johu/)
is not visible due to an invalid theme configured - I've pinged him about this

> - Pacho Ramos (https://blogs.gentoo.org/pacho/)
> - Thomas Kahle (http://pi-ist-genau-3.de/)
is retiring so I've removed it

> - Tom Wijsman (https://blogs.gentoo.org/tomwij/)

I think these are all done now.

I'll continue to monitor the failed fetch report from time to time.
