When I tried to burn the install-sparc64-universal-2004.2.iso image onto a 700MB TDK disc with an IBM ThinkCentre (Pentium 4 2.80 GHz, 248 MB RAM) running Windows XP and a WDC WD400BB-23DEA0 CD-RW burner, it reported that the image (.iso) was incompatible with the drive (burner), but only after burning about 20% of the image (and so ruining the disc). The software used for burning the image unsuccessfully was IBM/Sonic Solutions RecordNow! v6.5.1. Any suggestions? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert blank CD. 2. Start IBM/Sonic Solutions RecordNow! v6.5.1 3. Click third option tab (picture of two CDs) 4. Click "Burn Image - Create a disc from an image already on your hard drive" 5. Select install-sparc64-universal-2004.2.iso from hard drive 6. Click red "Burn" button Actual Results: The CD ejects, and a message explains that the image is "incompatible" with the CD-RW drive. Expected Results: It should have successfully burned the CD.
So you're unable to burn a sparc CD on a x86 IBM running Windows..... and it is our problem? I'm not sure I understand. Have you tried to burn it on any other machines? Funny you mention the ThinkCentre, as I am working from one right now... Have you checked the md5sum of the CD? Are you sure it was a good download? Honestly, there's nothing we can do to support a Windows problem. Sorry.
