Someone gave me a link earlier where it said to send email to overlays [ AT ] gentoo.org, so I did. Later on I found the "new way" to do it with a pull request. My overlay includes random sets of ebuilds that are not in Gentoo's main portage tree, for example - a Finnish spell checker for Libreoffice - tool for downloading media files from the video streaming services of the Finnish national broadcasting company - and few more Every ebuild in there is in my personal use and working. pf-sources are copied from official tree, I just added UKSM patch into it. Vivaldi is also a straight copy from main tree, but I keep following the stable channel (that doesnt get updated in the main tree, only -snapshots). I can remove them if they are not okay. I'll be doing the pull request now!
Do you have the old link? I am still fighting places where people spread wrong information.
Thanks, added now. Can take a while for the change to propagate.

As for the answer, I asked about adding my own overlay to layman in #gentoo-chat and received the following link: http://layman.sourceforge.net/#_adding_an_overlay_globally
