riot-web (https://riot.im) is a chat client for matrix (https://matrix.org). It can be installed as a desktop app (built using electron - https://github.com/electron/electron, similar to apps like Slack or yakyak - https://github.com/yakyak/yakyak).

ebuild is avlible , however calculate's is flaked. with some api/cpu spazout.
