Description Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-18 09:53:02 UTC
Hi All Archs,

Thanks to agriffis we now have a new, multi-version capable build-docbook-catalog script. This script is _much_ better than the previous few (ouch) that we had on offer, and as such, I'd like to get it into circulation as quickly as possible.

The Docbook stuff isn't really arch-dependant, but I'd prefer not to touch keywording for archs I'm not involved in.

Please test and keyword the following for your arch:

app-text/build-docbook-catalog-1.2
app-text/docbook-xsl-stylesheets-1.65.1
app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.1.2-r5
app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.2-r1
app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.3

After installing the following, have a quick look to see that the file /etc/xml/catalog, looks something like the file attached in the next comment, which should be enough of a test to verify that it hasn't completely destroyed your catalog.

Please ~arch these when you verify the above, and then mark them stable when time permits. x86 is allready verified working and marked stable.

This new system is more robust, and should serve us better in the future.

Thanks guys, and Aron for the script.

Created attachment 37670 [details]
Example: /etc/xml/catalog

Please compare your /etc/xml/catalog with this, to check that it includes the
entries listed.

alpha, ia64 and amd64 marked stable
Comment 3 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-18 11:13:18 UTC
Just for your bookkeeping: After installing all of these on sparc, /etc/xml/catalog
does contain all of the entries the attached example contains.
