hello, because i need the usb-storage sometimes for a raid device i try to compile a kernel with build in usb-storage to get access to usb-drives. but this don't work. with buildin usb-storage drive, initramfs is ignored, my raidsystem is not started and my system don't boot. without buildin usb-storage driver, i have no problems to boot my system. i don't know, where this bug is, but i think it is in the kernel. goodby
Could you please add some info, such as emerge --info, kernel type/version, kernel config, etc.?

hello, i try different kernels and settings and at the end, no kernel will boot with initramfs. after some hours of compiling and testing, i changed my raidsystem to metadata 0.9 and activation by the kernel on boot, so i don't need the initramfs and boot my system direkt because i have no more time to find the bug while my systemm must running. i can send you a link to download my kernel and initramfs if you want to analyze this. goodby

Is this issue still outstanding?
