I just merged media-video/helixplayer-1.0beta1 , but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to run it. There were no notifications of how to run it (someone told me hxplay but no go), and I guessed a lot and gave up. Nothing is installed in /usr/doc/ either.

Could a short notice at the end of the ebuild be added, mentioning how to run it? I still don't know at this time how to run it.

This should be fixed by adding the .desktop file as for bug #75554 .
