Description Eric Brown 2004-08-16 14:50:41 UTC
i emerged exult and had no sound. discovered that timidity wasn't able to map instruments properly by playing a few midi files. emerged timidity-eawpatches, did etc-update -> overwrite /etc/timidity.cfg, and now sound works for all midi files, and it works for exult now too (the music works now, sound was working before a little).

hence exult should depend on timidity-eawpatches

Sound works fine. It uses the digital sound files. If you really want midi sound, you need to have timidity in your use flags and follow the directions printed out at merge time.
