DarkIce provides a means for encoding live audio data being read from the sound card in real time. DarkIce is capable of encoding the stream into ogg-vorbis of mp3 via the LAME encoder. The resulting streams may then be sent to shoutcast, ice-cast 1.3, or icecast 2.0 (under development, required for ogg support) simultaneously. DarkIce also uses POSIX real time scheduling to achieve quite nice performance. This ebuild seems like it should live in media-audio/darkice Blake Watters sbw@ibiblio.org

Blake, did you forget to attach darkice.cfg file?
Okay, committed under media-sound. Thanks. I've removed the lines regarding darkice.cfg, and it looks like a default one is installed under /etc automatically.
