Same problem here, have tried syncing downloading the file several times with no success
The recorded md5sum 03d17de9f410805b852aed440787ec7c is correct. I just check the md5sum from dev.g.o and it matches aswell, so you must have a bad fetch of the patch file; Try removing it and redownloading again... The digest in portage ATM is correct aswell.

What the? Hmm I never actually mirrored the patchsets... but I have done so now... If you're in a hurry grab the patchset from http://dev.gentoo.org/~cyfred/distfiles/ which is where it was meant to be fetched from by portage aswell... Anyway they are going onto the mirrors in the next rotation.

using patches from http://dev.gentoo.org/~cyfred/distfiles/squid-2.5.STABLE5-patches.tar.gz solved digest mismatch issue.
I didn't resync, just deleted the distfiles and rebuilt. It works fine with the new patch files, now that thay have been mirrored. Thanks!
