Is the spacenavd-0.6-debug.patch from git intentionally not applied in the ebuild?

99-space-navigator.rules-r2

Also, ATTRS{product} in the udev rule to start the daemon on plugging in the 3d-mouse should read ""Space*". This will also start the daemon when devices like the older Spacetraveler mouse are inserted.

Yes, the patch shouldn't be in the commit, he's not needed. It's a mistake.

Then it should also read IUSE="X", shouldn't it?

No, the "debug" flag is correctly handle by the econf command.
