Open the accounts window (Ctrl + A) 2. Select or add a MSN account 3. Select Open under User Options 4. Select an image and open it Actual Results: Nothing happends if the account is only being modified, if it is being created the window closes without the account being added. Didn't find this at the bugsubmit page. To fix it i just created the dir: ~/.gaim/icons then it works fine.
AFAIK the icons directory should be created as part of gaim core. Can you back up your ~/.gaim directory and move it, then start up gaim so it will create your .gaim dir and see if it creates ~/.gaim/icons right away.
This was definitely a bug upstream. It has been fixed in their CVS and will be out with 0.82 later this week. Normally that icons dir was created when you viewed other buddy icons. If you try to set your own icon before viewing others, that directory would not have been created.
