The source from Wesnoth should be downloaded from a sourceforge mirror rather than wesnoth.org to help save their bandwidth.

Maybe something like:

SRC_URI="mirror://sourceforge/wesnoth/${P}.tar.gz"

It will download first from the gentoo mirrors.  I think this is a non-issue.
