Description Christopher Head 2017-01-07 08:41:20 UTC
When a pkgmove occurs, lots of files in /etc/portage are automatically updated. However, directories and files in /etc/portage/env are not renamed (I don’t mean the .conf files that are referred to from /etc/portage/package.env, I mean the files that match the name of a package directly and can add things like custom post-stage functions). In fact there is no notice at all, so not having noticed that a package was renamed (it’s not like emerge tells you—it just prints a lot of dots), there’s no indication whatsoever that your carefully crafted custom stage functions are going to stop being used.

Reproducible: Always
